In a double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized clinical trial in 2014, 88 women aged 35-65 years were given 5,000 mg of TruMarine Collagen or a placebo once daily for eight weeks. Before treatment and at four and eight weeks, digital images of the facial skin were analyzed by VISIA® Complexion Analysis, which records and measures surface and subsurface skin conditions. A diary and self-assessment questionnaire of facial skin condition was administered at zero, four and eight weeks. At the conclusion of the study, daily ingestion of TruMarine Collagen resulted in significantly improved facial skin condition at both four and eight weeks.
